BreathEdge — State Reset Protocols
Situation · State reset before action
2-minute reset before a presentation or important meeting
You join thirty seconds late, still holding the last thread of the previous meeting. Your voice comes out a half-step faster than usual and you are performing the slides instead of reading the room.

What is actually happening
High-stakes rooms punish carried-over state. Rushed entry compresses breathing, speeds delivery, and removes the pauses that make an argument land.
What the 2-minute reset can and cannot do
It can
- Clear residue from the previous meeting or task
- Slow delivery so pauses and framing come back
- Put you in the room when the meeting starts
It cannot
- Fix an unprepared deck or an unmade decision
- Remove legitimate stakes
- Treat persistent performance anxiety
Safety and stop conditions
Breathe through the nose, sitting or standing still. No hyperventilation and no breath-holding beyond what is comfortable. Stop immediately if you feel dizzy or short of breath. Do not run this while driving. Not medical advice.
If this repeats: Decision Reset
Matched protocol pack for this situation — guided audio drills and a PDF protocol guide. See Decision Reset →
Other situations
- Before a difficult conversation
- Before sending an angry reply
- After an adrenaline spike
- Restart focus
- End-of-day shutdown
