BreathEdge — State Reset Protocols
Situation · State reset before action
2-minute reset after an adrenaline spike
It is over. Everyone else moved on to the next item and you are still humming — hands slightly unsteady, thoughts looping the same forty seconds.

What is actually happening
An activation spike does not end when the event ends. Without a structured downshift it decays over twenty to forty-five minutes, and everything inside that window runs on residue.
What the 2-minute reset can and cannot do
It can
- Shorten the tail of the spike instead of waiting it out
- Reduce looping replay enough to start the next task
- Prevent residue reaching the next interaction
It cannot
- Undo the event or process what it meant
- Replace a debrief or peer support
- Treat acute stress reactions or trauma
Safety and stop conditions
Breathe through the nose, sitting or standing still. No hyperventilation and no breath-holding beyond what is comfortable. Stop immediately if you feel dizzy or short of breath. Do not run this while driving. Not medical advice.
If this repeats: Stress Recovery
